I wish I had went with my gut on this one… But it would have been so much easier to work the ribbing for the left and right front sides into the pattern by simply doing a k1, p1 on the first 4 sts at each end. It would not affect the pattern because the increased sts are in the middle not on the ends and this ribbing would’ve worked so much better than going back at the end to pick up sts.
