Sizing Considerations
My cross-back measurement is about 17.5”, but I only have 925 yds, so may not have quite enough to make that size, especially since Ravelers have noted that the sleeves are tight, so I may want to add some stitches there.

The second size is only 2 stitches more than the first in width. I don’t think that would make too much of a noticeable difference in size, but carried through the entire length, it could make all the difference if playing yarn chicken.

So what I’m going to do is a hybrid. I’m going to cast on for the smallest size and follow the directions for that size except for the cross-back measurement and the sleeves. So I’ll knit for 15” to the first armhole, but then 17” across the back instead of 15” to the next one, and then another 15” to the end.

As for the sleeves, the directions for the 1st two sizes are the same, so I’m going to follow the 3rd size for placement & stitch count of those.

Particulars:
Chiaogoo 32” size 9 needle (5.5 mm)
Crochet Hook I (5.5 mm) for the cast on
Crochet over the needle CO, then begin counting rows, with Set-up row as row 1 (RS)
80 rows to first armhole
Insert waste yarn for sleeve on row 81 (following 3rd size for placement & stitch count)
90 rows from there to second armhole (170 rows from beginning)
Insert waste yarn for sleeve on row 1 (following 3rd size for placement & stitch count)
80 rows from there to end (250 rows from beginning)
K2tog tbl bind off

Sleeves:
Picked up 28 sts each side of the waste yarn, beginning at top edge for both.
Don’t know why, but I did not have 1 more stitch on one side as I was supposed to, so I just picked up an extra.
Worked the sleeves with magic loop, following the third size, but stopped decreasing at 43 sts rather than 39 (8 decrease rounds). My gauge had tightened up somewhat, and I wanted to keep the sleeves loose.
After the 8th decrease, I ended the last 8 round repeat 4 rounds short, because that’s where my skein of yarn ran out. This equaled 60 rounds total for the sleeves (approx. ½ length). I did have enough yarn to continue on, but this seemed like a good stopping point. The sleeves seemed like a good length for a summer sweater. Unblocked, they ended up at approximately 10” circumference at the wrist edge, and 11” long, hitting just below the elbow.

Other:
When soaked for blocking, it was just way too wet and heavy, so I put it in a lingerie bag and tossed it in the dryer with the towel I had rolled it out in. I dried it on low that way for about 15 minutes before attempting to lay it out. That seemed to help. I think in the future when I wash it, I’ll dry it even more. It depends on whether or not the rolling along the dropped stitch edge flattens out.

Approx Finished Measurements (pinned on the blocking board):
Sleeves: 11” circumference at wrist edge
Sleeve Length: 12” long
Width across cast on edge: 29”
Length, cast on to bind off: 53”
Length to armhole, each side: 16”
Cross back between armholes: 21” (at top edge, because it’s stretched a little more. At the underarm, it’s more like 20”)
Neck edge to start of sleeve: 5”
Bottom edge to underarm: 16”
Width of sleeve at underarm: 8”
Dropped stitch column: 1”
