There’s some pretty intense finishing for this pattern! I think it took me just as long to assemble this and weave in all the ends (probably close to 100 of them!) as it did to do the knitting.
But it’s really a great use of long color changing yarn, and I very much like the shape of it, so it turned out to be a worthwhile endeavor.
Worked all of the 3-needle bind offs from the top down for consistency, as they tend to have a slant. For the rest of it I used the cable cast on and the k2tog tbl bind off.
Worked the matching strips in pairs, 2 at a time:
Strips 1 (Both)
Strips 2 & 5
Strips 3 & 4
Strips 6 (Both)
Strips 7 & 8
Sleeve Right Side Panels (Both)
Sleeve Left Side Panels (Both)
Sleeve Center Panels (Both)
Did a couple of extra rows past the 3” length instructed for the sleeves, but I think I could have done a little more. The sleeves are just a little shorter than I’d like. Picked up 60 sts instead of 54 for the sleeve trim, because that was how it worked out comfortably when picking them up, and I’m glad I did that, because 54 sts probably would have been a little snug.
The pattern called for 4 skeins, but I needed to break into a 5th skein for the neck and bottom trim. Sure am glad I bought it!
