this blanket will take a wee bit longer than the average as I’m going to double knit it, adding in the Detroit Red Wings logo onto the top & bottom pannels

2011-11-03 ~ just past the half way point, and ready to start the upper pannel. so far it’s looking good. I did the “one row button-hole” as suggested by Car Seat Blankie for AlienBaby the suggestion was a good idea, but unfortunately didnt convert to a double knitted project as well as I wanted …. oh well, I still love how it’s turning out :)

2011-11-14 ~ half way thru the logo on the upper pannel. my only regret was that I didnt take the logo chart and convert it into a “true” double knit pattern, so that both side face the same way. both sides look great, but the wing on the flip side is a mirror image. OH WELL …. I’m sure the baby wont notice :)

2011/12/26 ~ life got in the way so it took longer than it should to finish, but I love the finished product. the pattern is awesome, but the double knitting definitely doubled the time to knit (BUT, in my mind, the only way if you’re going to add an intarsia design to the project)
