My 6th knit.love.wool pullover and the first of two Avena’s I have knitted. Due to some unforeseen circumstances this project took much longer than expected.
It is such a beautiful design! I love it!
I combined one strand of Plötulopi with Hedgehog Fibres Kidsilk Lace for the main color and one strand of Plötulopi with Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair for the contrast color.

If you experience yarn breakage when knitting with a single strand of Plötulopi, adding mohair will prevent that from happening. The sweater will be warmer however.

This is also the first time I did not catch floats as suggested by Jenn and I like the result. The yoke is less stiff and because I used Plötulopi with mohair, the floats stick to the sweater and stay in place.

The multicoloured mohair from Hedgehog Fibres creates a beautiful, subtle watercolor effect. It’s the second time I have used a multicolored mohair and I will definitely knit with it again. The pullover is perfect for the winter and I wear it often.

Modifications: I changed the rolled neckline to an I-cord bind-off (used in another sweater designed by Jenn), made the sleeves longer and added a Latvian braid to the sleeves and bottom of the sweater (just before the ribbing). I also moved the sleeves further to the back as I needed more room in the front and I added waist shaping (from another yoke sweater designed by Jenn).
