I was looking for a quick knit blanket that is masculine for my Dad for Father’s Day. He doesn’t like anything with hole of any kind so that helped me narrow it down. I figured a simple square pattern would work great for him and be very masculine in grey. I am making this the same width as the pattern calls for but increasing the length and holding the yarn doubled throughout.

1/1/11: So yeah, this wasn’t a quick knit for me, in fact the monotonous pattern bored me easy and I kept setting it aside for more interesting things. It’s been about a year and a half and it’s finally done, it is now the topic of many family jokes and can’t wait to see Dad open it today. We didn’t get to celebrate together this year so we are having our “second” Christmas today and exchanging gifts with my parents. Can’t wait!
