I loved making this hat. I had the idea of alternating slightly wider bands of reverse stockinette and garter with stockinette. Then when I started, I decided to slip a stitch between each of the eight sections - mostly because I don’t like using stitch markers. It ended up being a design feature that I like a lot.

Then when I got toward the end I found that I really wanted to save off some of the bright pink at the end for a little decoration. So that’s what I did. I really need some modeled shots, but that won’t happen till Christmas, so in the meantime, I posed the hat on a bowl.

I want to make a hat for Hazel. I’m using an evolution skein of Duchess in Octarine. I’m trying for fairly slouchy so as to use up all the yarn. We’ll see how it goes.
