12/30/2012 - Worked about half the hat while watching TV. Learning how to do the cable stitches was fun, as was switching to different sized needles partway through the project.

12/31/2012 - Towards the end, I was afraid that I would run out of yarn before I ran out of hat, but it worked out just fine, with a bit of yarn left over. The hat is a little bigger/looser than I expected, but that could be mitigated with a thick head of hair, I think. All in all, fun project -- and quick.
