Here is the story of the Dobby Project.

I play in a Live Action Role play Game called Amtgard on the weekends. In this game there is a belted lineage system with titled people having the ability to take people under them as apprentices/students/servants (the latter of those in jest) to teach them or mentor them in the game.

My SO is a Squire in the game and is hopefully going to be knighted soon. His current Man-at-arms (MaA) is also married to my best friend who is also my Lady (titled nobility gets to belt people as well). We are one big weird family at this point. Anywho, my SO and his MaA made a contract that he would remain his MaA for 6 months after he was Knighted. It has often been a running joke that their relationship is purely contractual. Since the impending sword is about to drop on SO’s head we (SO (after some nudging), my Lady, and I) thought it would be hysterical to offer him one sock on the Knighting and the other when his 6 month term is up so that he may be free.

I will be sorely disappointed if we don’t here the “Master has presented (redacted for secrecy) with clothes! (Redacted) is free!” Or something similar from him when it is presented.

CO 16. Increased toe until had 72 sts (measured 4.75” across flat on one side which should hit the 9” circumference needed) according to research length should be 11” long.

Going to try to do an afterthought heel just need to remember where to put it. THANKFULLY I’m doing these two at a time so they should be identical no matter what.
