Notes

Such a quick knit! Love how this yarn has knit up. Love how the brim looks and feels. Love the color.

Summertime, here, is far too warm for hats other than Panamas. So, I’ve knit this up in a superwash merino for winter, and brother, it keeps me toasty warm!

This colorway matches the aubergine split cowl/neckwarmer made of Lana Gatto Opale. Alas, this slouchy was going to be for Mama; but, Medium turned out to be too big even for me! Superwash is just waaay too super stretchy. I will be washing this lovely slouchy in warm water to shrink it. 5 min. in hottest tap water; then, into the dryer - voila! Perfect!

Moral of this story: If you are using superwash wool, try casting on for Small size if your head is 22-1/2” or smaller.
