I went on a trip to the Southern Oregon Coast and left my yarn at home. I got this on the way and also designed the pattern on the trip.

Top down raglan. The pattern gets larger as it increases so that there is more going on at the top than the bottom. I really like this cable pattern X Marks the Spot from the book The Knit Stitch Pattern Handbook by Melissa Leapman.

Got the yoke done. Slipped the sleeve stitches onto holders and now just working the body. I love how this is coming out. When I get about 10 rows of the body done I will put it on and get an idea of the fit.

Tried it on and its a bit larger than I anticipated but I wanted it loose.

Argg. When I was on this trip I had to use different resources than I had before and it really doesn’t fit well so back to the drawing board.

Rewrote the pattern in a 38.
Changed the neck and the bottom.

I’m liking it better with a rolled neck.

Still not happy with it. I think I’m going to fix the neck and only do the cable pattern on the top then have the lace become straight vertical lines or just stop. Needs to be longer and probably a hem at the bottom.
This is going to sit in the time out bag until spring.

I am unhappy with the neck. I took out the cast on and I am going to add about 1 inch of ribbing to see if it helps. If not I am going to rework this one.

I keep reworking this one. I think the yoke looks good. I used the Tubular Cast On cast of from Cast On Bind Off.

I am very happy with the way the body came out. Now onto the sleeves.

Just need to weave in the ends and block it.

I finally got the pattern written up. I did shift the pattern on the top down a bit.
