So excited about this I have wanted to make this pattern for a while but didn’t have anyone to make it for. Now I do a little someone due in February!!!

I have already frogged this blanket twice because I didn’t get the right number of stitches when I tried to increase the size.
I’m starting again hope this time it works.

181 stiches works!!!! I am finally making progress.

As I am a big chicken, I will be knitting this flat on circular needles so I can avoid the streek.

I have added some monkey faces not in the original pattern.

almost finished with side 1. Knitting with three color is a bit of a challenge. I am having trouble with the tension

I am now happly knitting.

So I now have a deadline the 27 of december beacuse that is when the baby shower is.

Knitting Like a mad women because I am getting so close to finishing the Second side. I may make the deadline if I keep this up…

So I have finished the ring side. I could not find the really long circular needles so I put in four of them but I still may need a few more to make it work.

I have bought every us size 7 circular needle in 5 craft shops. It seems to be i now have eight of them. this seems to be working.

joining the 2 squares is proving to be a very frustrating.

I am much less frustrated with the border now that the squares are joined however I must have done the math wrong for the back square because its a bit to wide.

Almost done with the border. I am amazed at how long its taking.

I finished a little after the 27th of december but I will still get the blanket to my brother before the baby is born in february.
