I’ve got a giveaway for enough yarn to make a striped hat on my blog now.

Because this cardigan was meant to be knit flat and seamed--ugh, all those matching up stripes would have destroyed me--I decided to knit it top-down in one piece. I loosely followed Kate’s Cardigan for number counts, etc. I also used my own color placement for stripes because I didn’t have the exact colors the pattern required. I bought this yarn for half off and got the available colors and did my best to do justice to Erika’s gorgeous pattern.

About the yarn, it’s fabulous! I loved it to bits. It’s soft yet toothy and while it does NOT feel a bit rugged at all, it does feel strong. This could easily be worn next to the skin, around the neck, etc., it’s just so soft.
