Notes

I love this and think ti’s pretty and is was fun to knit and went surprisingly fast. But! At first the sleeve construction intrigued me and while the designer warns ahead of time that for the type of construction you have zero control over the length of the sleeve as you go, so no trying on near the end to see wear the sleeve hits. You knit the entire sleeve from the top down up and around, including the cuff, then do what she calls a zip seam on the sleeve. I was a little freaked so decided to knit it shorter without the cuff, zip seamed it up, then picked up stitches at the hem and knit my cuff. If I had knit the entire sleeve to her specs my arms would have been about 6 inches too long, good for an orangutan but not for me. IDK if anyone else had this problem but it was easily fixed so no biggie I guess. The cables are gorgeous.

After these pictures were taken I decided to make longer, just added another 1.5” to the ribbing.

The yarn is at least 7-8 years old. I rarely buy superwash wool these days but it was in my stash so used it. It is nice but superwash is blah to me with no spring and so not too fun to handle.
