Notes

I love this and think it’s pretty plus was fun to knit and went surprisingly fast. I also think the big loopy cables are beautiful! Was not a fan of the sleeve construction. At first it intrigued me and while the designer warns ahead of time that for the type of construction you have zero control over the length of the sleeve as you go, so no trying on near the end to see where the sleeve hits. You knit the entire sleeve from the top down up and around, including the cuff, then do what she calls a zip seam on the sleeve. Having no control over the length of the sleeve worried me so I decided to knit it shorter without the cuff, zip seamed it up, then picked up stitches at the hem and knit my cuff. If I had knit the entire sleeve to her specs my arms would have been about 6 inches too long.

The neck was too loosey goosey for me, superwash yarn I suspect was the culprit, so I picked up sts around the neck and did an i cord bind off. This brought it in an inch or two which was enough.

The yarn is at least 7-8 years old. I rarely buy superwash wool these days but it was in my stash so used it.
