Notes

Another absolutely ingenious design by Rachel Illsey - Unwind Knitwear.
The lace panels are absolutely gorgeous, and you will LOVE the way Rachel designed the shoulders of this sweater. It sits so well and frames the shoulders really nicely.

An of course - Happy-Go-Knitty Helene’s Ahuru yarn is super light, fluffy, soft, and incredibly warm due to its composition. Helene’s colour palette is just stunning, as is with her other yarns. I chose Custard Apple for this test and I couldn’t be happier - it is lovely and refreshing.

The yarn metrage is as for Fingering yarns (hence its classification as Fingering), however it knits more like sport/DK weight. Which is just a brilliant value for money hey!

I am a loose knitter and I always use smaller needles than recommended to get gauge.

One funny thing with me and Helene’s Ahuru yarns is that even when I knit to pattern gauge, Ahuru tends to “grow” on me - the final product is looser in the end. It is definitely just me (doesn’t seem to be happening to other people!) and the way I knit. I don’t mind it but was keen to add a note - in case other people ar after a looser gauge for this sweater, you will probably need to use larger needles.

I used:
2.75mm needle for body
2.00 needle for ribbing (bands)
3.00 needles fo sleeves (I used Addi Crasy Trio for sleeves and it worked a treat!)

Due to my looser gauge and the fact that I am only 160cm tall, I did 9 repeats of the centre panel on the body instead of 11. My yoke is also more relaxed, with the sleeves starting a wee bit lower.
