Mvuwu - Hippo in Chichewa (the language of Malawi - Africa)

I made him a tail out of my version of a single petal of the African flower motif because hippos do have tails! :)

I went to the store to buy another ball of yarn for the main joining color. They didn’t have the same color so I got the closest one and I’ve used it on the underside of the head, saving the rest of the main color for the visible parts… His ears are of that slightly different color.. oh well..

Oh NO, it looks like I may run out of the cream joining color!! and I don’t have a good alternative. :((

His rump is getting plump! ;)

I’m planning on making most of the head symmetrical color-wise but allowing the body to be random. I don’t know why but I need the face to look the same on both sides.
