In the end it turned out a little wide but still wearable especially if I use it as a layering piece in the fall.. you know those 2 weeks in December when it’s kinda chilly here in Delhi! Made it tunic length.

Anaiah picked out the butterfly buttons.

Gauge dilemma - I like the fabric best on size 4mm needles but my gauge is then a stitch in between 2 of the given gauges.. (19 sts instead of the 18 or 20. given) so which one to follow???

After some knitting and some more math.. I’ve decided that I need to start over, knitting the 4Y size from the 20 sts gauge instructions in hopes of ending up around a size 5.

So after Monelle said that she thought it looked really big I had Anaiah try it on.. and she was right it is a little too wide. The pattern had me add 6 sts. to the underarms and without thinking about it, that is what I did resulting in something that is too wide..
What to do? rip out the whole body section (which is basically done at this point) or finish it off and keep it for next year? I think I’ll finish it as is and just keep it till it fits.. maybe it will not be too bad..
