Notes

This version will be a gift…

1 stripe Oatmeal (light, neutral)
1 stripe Ash - grey (deeper, cool)
1 stripe Artemesia - sage green (lighter)
3 stripes Berroco Oats - beige (lighter, warm)
4 stripes Flannel - beige (lighest, cool)
3 stripes Smoke Heather - green (deeper, warm)

From bottom to top:

Stripe 1 Heather - 10R (19g - but incl tubular CO)
Stripe 2 Flannel - 10R (12g)
Stripe 3 Oats - 9R (16g)
Stripe 4 Heather - 9R (16g)
Stripe 5 Oatmeal - 10R (16g)
Stripe 6 Flannel - 10R
Stripe 7 Oats - 9R
Stripe 8 - Heather 8R (knitted till gone)
Stripe 9 - Flannel after this stripe switch to US 7
Stripe 10 - Sage - 10R
Stripe 11 Oats - 9R
Stripe 12 Ash - 10R
Stripe 13 Flannel 12g (Did one row fewer than for CO cuz I was worried about running out of yarn)

  • Per previous version, I worked as many rows per stripe as got me to 1.5”…

  • Note when next you make this: For the 2 set up rounds and final Kitchener round, make sure you have 5g of yarn min.

  • This one took 184g of yarn but I used a couple of very light-weight (lofty) yarns.

Preblocked Gauge: 25” (bottom circ) 23” (top circ) and 19.75” in length

KristinM100's adjectives for this yarn
  1. This pleasingly soft, loosely plied yarn does not feel delicate but it can be easily broken by hand. Having said this, it isn't fragile at all.
  2. Despite the loose 2-ply (seemingly) semi-woolen construction, it is not particularly splitty.
  3. It has an extremely dry, matte look and hand. It's also strangely spongy in its loft. Would be good for stranded colourwork.

KristinM100's adjectives for this yarn
  1. Beautiful colours
  2. Great combo of drape and bounce. Holds its shape but isn't stiff.
  3. DK-weight may be less soft than fingering (but I don't have enough experience to confirm that as yet).
