This weird self striping yarn has been in my stash for over eight years. And this pattern seems to be the perfect project for it. Let’s see how this works out…

I’m only six rows in, but somehow the wrong side seems to look better then the right side. Have to see how that works out.

Just started the sole of the second sock. The first attempt was a nightmare, it looked so awfully I was sure the competition was over for me. Fried the entire think and started over, and this second attempt was acceptable.

After the gusset I found out that instead op a SSP, I could pick up the stitches, turn, and so a SSK instead, and shortly before the end I found out I could do them in one go.

For this second sock it is actually going easy peasy. I finally found out how to best mount and use the needles, and doing the double ask from the start. It looks so much better that i am actually considering frogging the toe and sole on the first sock in case they don’t get approved, as I am no longer afraid of it.

Being a lefty I found out the three needle bind of is very easy for me, but especially the SSP was a disaster.

I have to say i really like this pattern. The shaft is a bit tight and the foot a bit rooms, but all in all a nice enough fit. Did not need to add any rows anywhere.
