Wanted to knit a sleeve for my CPAP-hose to prevent condensation. Got bored with the ribbing after a few inches, so I decided to continue in fair isle knitting, that never gets boring.
30 stitches on DPN’s IS a bit on the short side (although it will be rather wide for a hose) but it’s really just a try-out. My “definite” sleeve will be with thinner yarn, more colorfull and only the peeries I like and that have the right stitchdount.
Nice small project while my big sweater is still in the waitingroom…..

Restarted this project with thinner yarn on thinner (2mm) round needle (magic loop) and turned out fine. (38 stitches ; should have been 40 though for a better fit).
By the time I knit about 2 inches I bought a heated hose though ,so I don’t even really needed it anymore, but I had so much fun knitting it, I already started the second.
Unfortunately the night the tube was finished, I somehow screwed up the humidifier, air was too dry and I woke up with the Nosebleed of the Century that turned me into the hospital for FIVE days !!
So my “relationship” with this hose sleeve is kind of…….complicated ;-) Don’t hate it, but can’t love it (yet).
