I bought this yarn for a test I am currently doing, but it turned out way too bulky for that. I would loose too much detail, and with a 4,5mm hook, it was too stiff.

I decided to use the yarn on a (huge) blanket for my daughter, with a 6mm hook. Might take a while with much testing in between, but at least I have a good purpose for those 24 skeins of Aran :lol:. And i love this pattern.

With three projects at hand (not my habit) in will have to divide my time a bit and will alternate this blanket with the other projects.

I just calculated my gauge, and if I make the whole pattern, the blanket will come out 2,40x2,40 meters…….I probably won’t have enough yarn for that, so I will just continue until I have two skeins left and then start the border. (Or buy more yarn if I can still get it and feel like it, but after 24 skeins I might also be fed up with it).

After I ran out of yarn, I just reached about 50%. Since my daughter especially liked the border, I decided to buy an extra 24 skeins anyway.

The pattern is so far without errors, but there are more and more differences between the cover ‘chart’ and the actual pattern, so I am using pictures of a finished blanket for reference.

Okay, i honestly overdid this. The finished blanket turned out to be almost 3x3 meters (can’t really measure it well yet), and I have a very hard time lifting it :lol:. Will have to take it to my store tomorrow, as there i have a larger area to take pictures.
