I have always wanted to make one of these in crochet. I put this together yesterday after 4 attempts. Took far less time than the knit version and I thought it was so much easier as well. This fits about a 3 month old and is from scrap yarn. Since it is the prototype I didn’t write down anything. It follows the basic steps of it’s knit version; just fewer stitches and fewer rows. Definitely making more in the future.

7/18/2010- Added photos of finished jacket. Within the week also made another larger version (youth 6-7 yrs). Began work on Adult version.
