Thanks to KatiDCreations for the cute, free pattern. Great design! The pattern was designed so that the hat needs very little shaping after completed. It was, however, inconsistent and vague in some places. I wasn’t sure what a RHDC (Reducing Half Double Crochet) was, but I worked it as a HDC decrease. All in all I am very pleased with the result. I appreciate the time that went into designing this pattern and enjoyed making it. I rated the pattern 4 stars, (the average between a 5 for the design and a 3 for written instructions.)

I used double stranded worsted weight yarn and a J hook as pattern calls for. I don’t normally use Red Heart Super Saver, but I thought the stiffness of this yarn would work best for this hat. The hat holds its shape very well. The circumference of the hat on the inside where it will fit around baby’s head is 14.5”.
