April 21, 2014- Started joining the motifs in 5 rows of 7 motifs
Stalled here, couldn’t decide how I wanted the design to be. initially wanted design to be like the photo linked above, but decided I wanted a tank top style instead. I made about 100 motifs, thinking I would need that amount for a poncho, ended up only needing 35 for the tank top. Will probably try and make something for my granddaughter with the left over motifs.
May 26, 2014- Joined the rows into a tube and added straps. Joined straps to the center two ‘petals“ of two motifs (with one motif in between) in front and two motifs in center of back. I added single crochets into remaining loose petals around the top with chains joining them. (ch 7 between petals joining different motifs, ch 3 between petals on same motif.) For a little more stretch, I left the loose petals as is around the bottom.
May 28, finished weaving in ends.
