Third baby afghan from my Happy Baby/Toddler Afghan pattern. I could not find the labels for the purple and pink I used, but they are both Caron Simply Soft. Since the caron Simply Soft is thinner than The Hobby Lobby ILTY, I went up a hook size when using the Caron SS. Started April 30, completed 26 rows. May 1, completed rows 27-44. 37 rows plus border left to go. May 7, resumed project. completed rows 45-66. 15 rows plus border to go. May 10, resumed again, finished rows 67-81 and first three border rounds. May 11, finished last border round. Change up the last round to sc, sc, picot, repeat around. I placed picots directly above the middle dc of the 3 dc groups of the previous round. To make corners come out right there is only one sc between the corner picot and the picot before and after the corner. I like the result. Now to weave in the ends over a good long movie. May 12, finished weaving in ends. Guess this one’s for my granddaughter. She said, “Gigi you make that for me?” How can I refuse?
