Should finish 16 hexagons tonight. I had spent a good amount of time playing with the color order and I think I came up with a combo that I love and hopefully have enough yarn for. I just have one skein each of Spa and Soft Peach so they will be used for the two rounds that take the least yarn. I had the most of the gray yarn, so that will be the last round round plus all solid motifs for the face and for sewing together. I will probably run out of Desert Glaze, but I might have some leftover here and there in my stash. If not, Hobby Lobby is close by.

I finished all of the motifs and started to put Plod together last night. OMG, I’m pretty sure I’m dyslexic and I’m not kidding! I stayed up until 1 am and then spent another 2 hours this morning piecing Plod together with stitch markers so I can sew the motifs together and stuff. (I didn’t use the JAYG method as I prefer sewing.) I will sew the body and tail together today. I already have the legs sewn. I’m using whip stitch as I thought it worked the best for this project.

Thought I might be able to finish yesterday. So close!! I still need to sew on the frill, add eyes, add horns, and finish sewing up the face.

For the frill, for each pair of pentagons, I crocheted them together around four sides, leaving the bottom open so I can stuff. I then sewed each pair together and stuffed. (The pattern does not say to stuff the grill, but I saw several on TikTok stuffing theirs and I really liked the look, so I’m stuffing mine.) The bottoms are still open and I haven’t decided if I will close them while attaching to the body all in one step, or see them closed then attach.

I’m not sure what size eyes to use. I will probably try out different ones and just see which I like best.

Also thinking I might make the horns in a bone color. One, because I think it will look good, and two, because I don’t think I will have enough of the gray as I’ve been playing yarn chicken with that one!

Also keeping fingers crossed I don’t run out of fiberfil. I had a lot left in this this huge bag I had purchased, but looks like it’s going to take every bit I have!

Finished yesterday! So happy with how “Cera” turned out. Used up all my poly-fil!! I had seen several of these Dino’s on TikTok with the frill lightly stuffed with poly-fil and I chose to stuf mine as well.
