Notes

Hoping 3 skeins will be enough. Pattern says 5.5 skeins (2002 yds.) of Red Heart Super Saver, but these are larger skeins. (3 = 2478 yds.) Should be enough.

I have been wanting to make this rug for a long time, so here goes!

This is an excellent pattern! Very easy to follow! The 2 times I wasn’t sure if I was following directions correctly, all I had to do was check the diagram! I love when diagrams are included! (I mostly follow written directions, but it’s nice to have the visual for back-up.) I highly recommend this pattern! I rated the pattern medium as it might be a little more difficult for beginners, but it would rate easy for more experienced crocheters.
I made a mistake in round 19 and crocheted single crochets in the loops instead of double crochets, so in the next round to make up for the height difference, I crocheted treble crochets instead of doubles crochets.
I crocheted this rug in about 12 to 12 1/2 hours total and 3 skeins of Caron one pound baby was enough to complete the project with very little left over. So excited as I got the yarn on clearance for $5 each, so the total cost of the project was $15. The yarn I rated as 3 stars only because it’s not soft enough for most projects I make. It’s perfect, however for this project.
