Notes

I enjoyed working with the yarn; the subtle shifts in color kept miles of stockinette interesting. There were occasional slubs, and occasionally I’d hit a little spot where the yarn was frayed and nearly broken, but otherwise I enjoyed it and would knit with this again. The very best thing about it is the color.

I did 1x1 ribbing for the collar and band because I didn’t want the stockinette roll. The pattern was simple, as everyone says.

It’s a nice pattern for any age, including mine: 53.

process notes:

sep 3: finished! i have 9 grams of yarn left in the 2nd skein.
aug 6: start first sleeve (collar band is complete). 80g of yarn remaining (32+48) so ~40g/sleeve available.
june 26: start waist shaping
june 13: dividing for sleeves
june 4: swatching with a 6, got this gauge:

25sts=4” (pattern gauge, 24sts=4”)
32rows=4” (pattern gauge, 36rows=4”)

I like the fabric, and the slight difference in size from the stitch gauge actually works in my favor for sizing since my size is really in between the pattern sizes.

notes: start decr 36 rows before waist (4 1/2” before waist) underarm to waist: 10.5”, so start decr after knitting 6”.
