I used needles one size larger than the pattern required, and cut section 5 short (I stopped at row 12 and moved directly to the border). I had 10g of yarn left; not enough to have finished the last half of section 5, but more than a smidge left. The shawl and yarn blocked out beautifully -- FO photo to come.

The yarn is really wonderful -- highly recommended. I’ll buy more of it; the color is just gorgeous, and the subtle variations are all great, not a clinker in the mix. There are flecks of light pink and flecks of orange, but it’s definitely candy cherry red. I completely love it.

It’s a totally fun pattern to knit, never boring but not too demanding either.
