2017.09.24

Pattern received today. I’m knitting a gauge swatch.

2017.09.30

I was slowly knitting the yoke. I kept stopping to look at and admire the design. So pretty! I finally finished the stranded part, and the first section of short rows. It’s plain stockinette the rest of the sweater. Great for movie watching knitting.

2017.10.01

I used twin stitch short rows for the back. So far, these turn out to be the most invisible for me. I’ve tried wrap & turn, German, Japanese, and Carol Sunday short rows. They’ve all been pretty good, but I like the twin stitch (or shadow wrap) the best.

2017.10.11

I haven’t found any mistakes in the pattern. There was some concern about the high waist shaping, but it was fine for me (with my high short waist). I followed the pattern (version 1) as written, and it fits fine. Body is complete, and I’m working on the sleeves. If all goes as planned, I expect to finish very soon.

2017.10.14

Sleeves - 11 decreases, 5 rounds after last decrease. Cuff - 20 rounds

It’s blocked and done. I’ve weighed all the yarn, and put in the totals. I’ll get pictures when my photographer is ready.
