I had to add this to my projects right away. I love the look and the exact yarn used in this pattern.

However, my skeins of Arco Iris look nothing like the picture from the book. I’m a little sad about it. The colors are so muted and muddy looking. It’s not like the vibrant colors of the original.

As of February 2015, I have not made much progress with this sweater. I have lost my motivation to knit. Not just this sweater, but knitting all things in general! Life is too busy and keeps interfering. :(

29 April - I started working on this again. It’s slow going, but I hope to finish it within this year. ;)

2 May - I finished the sleeves. I had to get those out of the way first. I’m trying to finish the body, but this stitch pattern is more tedious than stockinette. It’s pretty though. :) However, this is now going on hold again because I want to concentrate on my test knits.

13 Aug - I’ve started knitting this again. However, I find that I go into a coma when knitting this pattern. I am determined to finish this!

20 Aug - I have knit a few more rows. Little by little. I keep distracting myself with little projects, like hats and fascinators.

8 Sept - Finally! Finished the body and I must now knit on a button band. I will get to that eventually.

29 Sept - I finally knit the buttonband, but I didn’t want any buttons. I used a contrasting yarn, short rows for a shawl collar, and an icord bind off. It’s finally finished!

2 Dec - I wound up gifting this sweater to someone. I like the way it looks, but it wasn’t love. The recipient loves it so that’s enough.
