Hum…. how about a ruffle kind of shawl. This one is knit from the “ruffles” to the point.
With the “knitted on CO” and size 5’s, I CO 900. (Yes, 900)
Worked a 3x3 ribbing for 40 rows.
Decrease rows:
Row 1: Moved to size 4’s and “slip 2 together purl wise-k1-slip sipped stitches over, purl 3” repeat across.
Row 2: “slip 2 together purl wise-k1-slip slipped stitches over, purl 1” repeat across.
Tri-stitch Section:
Row 1: knit 5, knit the knits, purl the purls to last 5 stitches, knit 5.
Row 2: k5, place marker, knit 2together, “k3tog, 3into1,” repeat to 9 stitches to end, k3tog, k1, place marker, knit 5
Row 3: k5, purl 2together, purl to 2 stitches to marker, p2tog, k5
Row 4: k5, k4 together, “
Row 5: repeat row 3
Row 6: k5, k4tog, “k3tog, 3in1,” repeat to 9 stitches to end, k4tog, k5
Row 7: repeat row 3
Row 8: repeat row 6
Row 9: repeat row 3
Row 10: k5, k4tog, “k3tog, k1” repeat to 9 stitches to end
