Notes

Notes to self:

Use long tail cast on for extra stretch at the neck.

Remember to cast on one extra stitch at the start 86 (87) to allow slipping one stitch over the other when joining in the round for neater start.

Do 3 knit rows to start, not 2, before commencing 9 rows of k1, p1.

Remember, to avoid an obvious colour jog when adding in a new colour, knit the first round as normal but when you come back round to the first stitch of the new colour to start round 2, slip that first stitch without knitting it, this gives jog-less colour join as Elizabeth Zimmerman recommends.

Marker placed at the start of work when joining in the round, becomes centre back position on the sweater, until the arms are put on hold, when the start of row marker moves to a new position. Therefore short rows go back and forth on the back of the jumper passed this central backmarker.

Short Rows:

Total = 14 balls Drops Nepal

The pictures taken on Dotty my dummy after washing and drying.

In the end, the darker blue I had envisioned as the last rows for the body and arms did not look correct, the colour was too bottom-heavy & strong against the delicate pink and pale blue, so I opted for off white as that was the only colour I had lying around.
