Ebenso erstaunlich, dass ich in meinem gesamten Strickleben noch nie eine Log-Cabin-Decke gestrickt habe.
Unsere Autodecke kam irgendwie abhanden, ob geklaut oder verloren, wer weiß das schon.

Some knitters say that sewing the threads and sewing the pieces together as a whole is so much trouble.
I can’t confirm that, I only sew the end threads.
Apart from that: knit the edge with knit stitch every row and the mattress stitch is your friend.
I think the backside looks very neat.
Von einigen Strickerinnen ist zu lesen, dass das Vernähen der Fäden so viel Mühe macht und das Zusammennähen insgesamt.
Das kann ich nicht bestätigen, ich vernähe nur Endfäden.
Ansonsten gilt: ordentlichen Knötchenrand stricken und der Matratzenstich ist dein Freund.
Ich finde, die Rückseite sieht sehr manierlich aus.

I knit the green “logs” directly onto the striped section, so I don’t have the longest side with all it’s weight on the needle.
When the long side is sewn there is no other way to knit the last “logs” on the whole blanket
Ich habe den Kunstkniff genutzt, zuerst den grünen Streifen an den langen Streifenteil zu stricken und diesen dann an den Rest zu nähen.
Das erspart mir, dass ich die breite Seite komplett auf den Nadeln habe, ein Gewicht, mit dem ich schon so manche Nadel geschrottet habe.
Bei den schmalen Kanten wird mir das aber dann nicht erspart bleiben.
