Notes

The pattern’s name reminds me of one of my favorite Irish albums, “Kissing the roof of heaven” by Hinterland!

Get gauge, hooray, so let’s start this!

February 1st
It is nice to get gauge, but the colorwork is so loose that I frogged and restarted!

Now I am working a size F (instead of E) on a 3.25 mm (US3) needle to get a size E. Hope this will work, but the colorwork is so much better!

Finished! Just weaving in ends.

I made a lot of modifications: After seperating sleeves and body, I cast off the additionals stitches at the body underarm, bc otherwise this sweater would have become way to big. I worked a gusset under the arm.

Also I added a waiste shaping by casting off 12 sts on my way to the waiste and adding 16 sts afterwards.

Tubular bind off.

For the neckband, I worked a 1k 1p ribbing in different needle sizes: I started with 3,5 and switched every 2 rounds to a size smaller (3.25, 3, 2,75) to continue in ribbing without decreasing.

Am very happy with the result!
