Notes

Update: This poor sweater has been neglected for years - the victim of a move. It got tossed into a bag in pieces where it sat for years, until the new volume of A Stitch in Time motivated me to finish a few of the WIPs waiting patiently for my attention!

I love how the pattern utilizes both a loose tension in the body and a much tighter tension at the wrists and hem. Hopefully this will keep the rayon from stretching out (as this yarn has done in the past!). But the rayon really drapes beautifully for this design, and I think I will be happy with my choice.

Sewing the darn thing together was a bit of a challenge, and the armholes looked impossibly small. However, it fits fine - I guess I should just trust the instructions!

I could not find the perfect pearl pink buttons that I was looking for at my local fabric store, but was too impatient to finish the project to wait, so I have made do for the time being. When the perfect button is found, they can be switched out.

And the sweater is removed from the WIP pile! Yippy!*

There is something off with the sleeve decreases.
Because of my yarn substitution I also had to add quite a few rows to get the sleeve long enough.
