I’m being smart for once and starting with the sleeves so I get the hang of it before tackling the body. It’s my first fair-isle piece and what they say is true, it is addicting!

12/16/07- First sleeve done!

1/22/08- CO for body… took over an hour : )

12/15- 12/22/08- I hadn’t worked on this since last winter, and picked it up for a week instead of doing design work… I put it down again right before the neck and armhole decreases. Too much to do getting ready for TNNA, but I plan to pick it up again when I get home, I am IN LOVE with it!!!!!

11/25- 12/25/09- I said I was gonna finish this sucker by the end of the year and I did!!!!! Definitely broke a BIG sweat when it was time to cute the steaks, but I did it and it wasn’t that big a deal…. Set in the sleeves and did the neckline edging easily.

I did follow Maud’s mods for the v-neck but took her advice and made the shoulders wider. I’m really glad I did this as they fit well!

My three big complaints: (that I am hoping to get over as soon as I write them down)

I think the sleeve seams are bulky, wish I had cut the steeks narrower before whip stitching. I think I need to tack them down so they bug me less!

#2- when I lift up my hands over my head the shoulders ride up and stay there.. this means I have to either a) not do anything but look cute while I wear this sweater, or b) pull it down all the time! I think this is because of the way the cap of the sleeves are shaped..

#3- the back neckline is gaping, this is “easily” remedied by ripping out the whole neck edging and picking up less sts across the back of the neck and reknitting it… maybe next year!!!!
