Received a request from a gentleman in the Montreal area to spin the hair of his cat, Mr. Shaggypants.

He has been laboriously collecting the hair for 5 years? He did well to store them in these sealed plastic bins. Of course, Ashes had to check them out after I’d emptied them.

The weight of the cat hair: 9.5 ounces

Approximately 100g of similar coloured baby alpaca is being added to the mix.

The process is quite involved, including hand carding it into rolags and then spinning.

This will be a 2 ply yarn when it’s complete.

Ended up with 300 yards of yarn, dk weight.
