I want to make the cabled lace scarf in my queue and have chosen this hat to go with it. I figure if I do the hat first then use what I have left of this yarn to make the scarf, I’ll know for sure that I won’t get carried away while making the scarf and I’ll have two pieces that match.

Now I see why this hat is so popular: It’s crazy quick and easy AND it’s wicked cute. (I had to throw that in; I’m from New England.) Anyhow, it took a bit more yarn than I expected, so it’s possible the scarf will have to be a mix of two different colors. We’ll see.
