Prototype in DK for Storm Dragon

Swatching Scales layouts for flat dragon scarf… The large Scale is now a single stacked tall, instead of double-layer jogged width-wise as it is in Azure Dragon

Debating pros and cons of single direction vs symmetry. And the easiest way/best placement to achieve a tidy join for symmetry since the end line is so jagged. Single direction makes things easier but the ‘upside down /scales overlapping in the wrong direction’ opposing end will drive me crazy.

Fresh color… Amber Trinket Tosh DK twist.

Going for 2 bottom-up pieces joined center back w Graft ~ found a good placement with ability to have a knit only Graft. Well just 1 purl each Seed Selvage edge, if I go with seed over garter

Blocking half 1, cruddy light - more in daylight. Looking great.

Second half in larger needle w seed. Still deciding needle size but I prefer the Garter edge.

Joined piece pic looks slightly wonky because it is worked in 2 gauges (½ US 6 (4 mm) & ½ US 5 (3.75 mm)) and has 2 edging trials (Seed vs Garter).

Decided on final Sample to be in Sport Weight Sample Project Link. This DK one is a bit too wide (8.25” 21 cm with US 5 3.75 mm Needles) and folds on itself too much when wrapped. I want to see the whole scales layout when it’s worn! This means more reps tall/long
