Dad’s last year Christmas present… haven’t even finished spinning the yarn yet!!!

29/07/13 Really, really considering skipping the lace. First, my dad is a man. Second, I’m not sure I have enough yardage (didn’t have a niddy noddy when I spun my first two skeins of this yarn, which are the ones that remain). Third… I’m running out of time!!!!

11/08/13 Went without the lace and am not sorry. First this thing is huge! Second, it is heavy as hell. Third, I don’t think the lace would have looked good in the DK weight I knitted this in. This was one long ass project. Loved the pattern super easy to memorize and knit everywhere. I will knit this again with the lace for me, but certainly not handspun! :)

Here are the fibers I spun for this shawl: baby camel, yak, buffalo, Rambouillet, Texel, Icelandic sheep, Llama, Silk, Merino, Alpaca.
