My friend, Gudrun, sent our weave study group a picture of a dish towel that a friend had made for her many years ago. She was wondering if anyone wanted to attempt to decode the draft from the picture. I tried it and I think that I got pretty close.
I had planned to weave this towel on my jack loom. But when I discovered Joanne Hall’s countermarch class I decided to weave it on my CM loom instead. I will weave a few towels in this draft and then switch to something else that uses this very versatile threading.
I ran out of warp at the very end, so the last towel was a few inches short. I needed a new cloth for my bread basket so all is well.
