Notes

I am using Fleegle’s No-Purl Garter-Stitch-In-The-Round technique, only I’m knitting two-color brioche rib instead of garter stitch. Really, any stitch pattern that is easier knitted flat than in the round can be adapted using Fleegle’s clever trick.

This hat biased like my last one, despite using a different technique. I will have to try one with eastern combined knitting. Anyway, I did a pinwheel decrease to complement the bias:

Pinwheel decrease pattern:

  1. Place 3 additional markers evenly spaced around the hat right before brk1 sts.
  2. Perform a brioche double decrease after each marker every 4 rounds until half the sts are gone.
  3. Perform a brioche double decrease after each marker every other round until 8 sts remain (8 sts plus 4 yos).
