Starting other teddy bear(s) for charity.
Made several others before, like here:

Have knitted 5 already, but still need to embroider the faces and make some scarf or gilet.

Started two crocheted turtles on 21-2-2017, of my own invention. Here on photo 1 (photo of the bears will follow when finished…). Like to invent these … It’s the first time I crocheted turtles. All the decorations are surface crochet. 3 Turtles are crocheted with 2 circles (above and below), 4 legs, 1 head, sewn together at the end. Easy to do, after all.
They are addictive… I already crocheted 6 turtles. The 3 turtles on the right side are of a different and more easy construction: here the belly (part below) and the shell (upper part) are crocheted in one piece= first the circle of the belly, then to crochet upwards 1 row in the backloop; then 1 row in both stitches, creating also an opening of 4 chains (just like a button opening) in order to sew the head inside. Then you start decrease rounds.
The 2 blue ones are started from the shell.

Photo 2: Here I knitted this ‘bee-cat’, inspired by a photo of this project :

I like it, after all. The tail and the feet are crocheted. Still need to embroider his moustache…
Photo 3: moustache embroidered on the ‘bee-cat’. The blue softie is also an invention of myself. The red nose-mouthpart was a free-formlike crocheted circle I had at home since years. Construction: 2 rectangles sewed together. adding two knitted garter ears and a tail.

Photo 4: here 6 teddy bears I knitted.

Photo 5: a bird I created by accident. I started crocheting a circle wanting to make a sun with long legs, but was distracted by other projects… Then folded the circle and added the head at one opening. Then started stuffing and crocheted the belly, closing the circle in this way. Then added the wings and foot. My first bird-softie… Not so bad after all.

June 2017: all these softies have been send to Breimadammen.
