March 31 -- this has actually been finished for a while -- just needed buttons. I wore it to my Rowan Club meeting early April -- it was lovely and warm.
Feb 2 - cut the front cardigan and armhole steeks at the Rowan Club meeting at my LYS…..I’ve been knitting the sleeves together, in the round, joined by steeks (which will become underarm seams). Almost finished them.
Jan 18 - the body tube is done - I’m not going to cut the steeks until early February - at my Rowan Club meeting at Main St. Yarns, Milton - my LYS.
Jan 2010 - got back to this project -- working on the body in the round…..update photo soon. Changed the pattern link to the Shetland Mens as this is the sweater I’m making -- liked the sizing of this one better than the Womens -- have you noticed in the photo that the sleeve in the Womens version doesn’t match the body? I love the way the Mens version is two complete repeats of the pattern and the sleeve matches perfecctly.
Aug 2009 - I’m using the colorway of the Man’s sweater….knitting the Woman’s sweater…..and might work it in the round…..I have to see……
So I bought enough yarn to knit a huge sweater LOL - with plans to make a hat/tam, gloves, and maybe even a scarf?????
Am I crazy LOL!!!
Aug 29 - did a swatch - washed the swatch - love how this yarn sort of felts over itself -- it will make a much subtler color work sweater than the photo shows in Rowan 46 - and putting the swatch on my jeans -- this is going to be a great wear with jeans go for a walk sweater!
