I got my copy rather early…and loved this from the minute I saw it. Way back, I bought a kit direct from Jean Moss, the dark Nashville shade of denim…..so I cast on and have been knitting away.

Rowan Denim has a reputation for being hard to knit with, but I don’t find it so at all…you don’t have to knit it tightly, as it shrinks up with a hot water wash and dryer dry.

Yes, there is excess dye, just like your new denims…..so I knit with an old t towel on my lap…and the dye washes off of your hands easily.

The back and fronts are done….so just the sleeves to go.

January 23 - just finished the sleeves…super long raglan sleeves…..hope these shrink up :) as designed.

Sleeves are done, all the pieces have been washed and dryer dried :) Seams and neckline to go! This is very hard to photograph. It is the dark denim shade.

This must be completed by the end of January….so today I sew it up and finish the neckline. Then I can that this is my January sweater!

Finished the sewing up, the neckline, sewed in the ends (leaving half inch tails hanging out) and there this back in the washer for a hot water wash, and then into the dryer on hot!

Love it!
