The mittens are supposed to be worn by a 9 month old baby, so I adapted the pattern for size 9-12 month and Drops Merino yarn:

• based on my gauge I used the overall stitch count for size 6/9 years old: 39 st at the beginning
• green cuff is only 2 cm long - used 2.5 mm needles
• grey part in 3.0 mm needles
• 3.5 mm needles for fair isle snowman part
• thumb opening after 6 cm total length
• started decreases after 10 cm total length
• thumbs knitted in same stitch count as for pattern size 6/9 years (14 st)
