It’s huge and lofty and simply gorgeous!
Much lacier & lighter than intended (see note below about obsessive blocking), and feels like a thousand kisses on my shoulders.
Overall, a great, uber-simple pattern, that doesn’t sacrifice style. I know I will be knitting more of these and will be trying the wool/silk blend next.
Note: I increased to 54 picots in MC, 24 stripes and 22 eyelets in lace section.
Overall finished measurements: Approx. 100” wingspan x 26” depth
Left over yarn: 5gr of green, 17gr of lilac.

OK, so I’ll be the 1st one to admit it: I went a bit mad on the blocking!
I don’t know what it is about pure silk, but it just makes me want to stretch my FO to the limit! Not quite what Cameo was intended to look like, I realize, yet I just couldn’t help myself with my 500 million pins (I guess I just don’t like string?)…
Can’t wait to see how it comes out tomorrow. I know it will be huge, and probably a bit lacier than intended, but I have a feeling it will be wonderful to wear ;-)

Started the lace section, at last! This should knit fast, and hoping to have pics soon!

OK, so I frogged the striped part, because I had so much green yarn left over, even after adding several rows.
Although it would have been perfectly fine to continue as it was, I have an unhealthy obsession with left-over yarns, and I just couldn’t leave it be!

OK, so after faffing around with needle size, I’ve finally settled on 3mm. It has a beautiful drape still, but with just enough body & bounce to not make it “floppy”. Floppy is bad ;-)
Once I started knitting, this pattern knits itself, I love it!!
Can’t wait to get started on this pattern:
It’s simple, elegant and a fast knit, what’s not to like? Oh and I also get to indulge in multiple colours!
