My changes/additions;

Anger is finished - I’ve added pictures of him in his calm state and I will be adding pictures of him with the flames coming out if his head as they do when he’s really angry.

EYES
Make 2
I crocheted Anger’s eyes.
(Using 3.5mm hook and white)
Chain 5, 2sc in next ch from hook, 1 sc in ea of next 2ch, 3sc in last ch, turn and continue up the other side of the chain, work 3sc, sl st to join.
Ch1, work 2sc in same st, 2sc in next st, 1sc in next st, 2hdc in ea of next 5st, 1sc in ea of next 2st, 2sc in next st, sl st to join, finish off.
The hdc end is the outer part of the eyes.

(Using red and 2.5mm hook)
10sc in a magic ring, sl st to join, finish off..

(Using black and 2.5mm hook)
4sc in a magic ring, sl st to join, finish off.

  • I have pulled some stuffing up to the top of his face and stitched through the top part of his forehead to give him an angry brow-line.

MOUTH
Chain 11 + 2 turning ch.
1 hdc in 3rd ch from hook, 1 hdc in ea remaining ch. (11)
1ch, 1sc in same st, 1hdc in next st, 1dc in ea st until you have 2 sts remaining, 1hdc, 1sc, finish off.
Sew to face, outline in black and define teeth.

COLLAR
I turned the collar and finished it by top-stitching a running chain along the last row of stitches.

FLAMES
I modified a leaf pattern and worked it in various sizes for the flames - freeform-style. To vary the size, I just varied the amount of starting chains, then adjusted the amount of dc’s that I used. To vary the width, I just changed-up the sts using sc, hdc or dc…..I also added a picot at the top of the flame in the last round. No two flames are the same.
From the inside out the colours are;

  • Light Yellow
  • Yellow
  • Orange
  • Red
  • Dark Red.

Basic flame to help you -
Chain 9.
1dc in 3rd ch from hook, 1 dc in ea of next 3sts, 1hdc in next 2sts, (1sc, 1hdc, 1sc) in next st (point), now work down the other side of starting chain……1hdc in next 2sts, 1 dc in ea st to end, change to next colour in last st.

Ch2, 1hdc in ea st to point, work (1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc) in point.
Continue working the layers of the flame in either hdc (point = 1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc), or sc (point = 1sc, 1hdc, 1sc)rows. For the last round point, I worked (1hdc, 1dc ch3, sl st into first ch = picot, 1hdc).

I take the tails from the first round and tie them together, then take the tails of the second round and tie those together - this pulls/pinches the base of the flame in and makes it look more like a flame than a triangle.
