I made my first ‘Sadness’ with black glasses….this one has purple glasses as she does in the movie.
I used a cream coloured yarn for her jumper/sweater as I could not find a suitable light grey.

My changes/additions;

FEET
I added a small oval in navy blue to be the soles of her shoes. (Same as the oval I used for her eyes).

EYES
I decided to crochet Sadness’s eyes….
(Make 2)
(Using white yarn and 3.5mm hook)
Chain4,
2sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in next st, 3sc in last ch, turn and work along the other side of starting chains, 1sc in ea of next 2ch, sl st to join. (8)
Ch1, 2sc in same st, 1sc in each of next 2sts, 2sc in each of next 3 sts, 1sc in ea of next 2sts, 2sc in last st, sl st to join, finish off. (14)
(Using royal blue and 2.5mm hook)
Work 10sc in a magic ring, sl st to join.
(Using black and 2.5mm hook)
Work 3sc in a magic ring.

Her glasses I made by crocheting a row of single crochet - as many as I could fit - around wire circles.
